Where is Tulum and how to get there?
Location of Tulum
Tulum is located on the Yucatán Peninsula in the southeast of Mexico. The peninsula is over three times the size of the Netherlands and consists of three states: Yucatán, Quintana Roo, and Campeche. Well-known places in Quintana Roo include Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The region is known as one of the safest areas in North America.
International Airports
Cancun has a major international airport with direct flights from Schiphol. Recently, an international airport has also opened in Tulum, with direct flights from the U, Canada and Germany.
Brand-new Railway
A brand-new railway (the ‘Tren Maya’) connects the major cities across the peninsula. The roads are generally of good quality. The Mexican government is heavily investing in the region to support its rapid development.
